Mrs. Adama Kamara, the Finance Manager of the Sierra Leone Standards Bureau is one of the oldest staff of the Bureau and is one of the rocks from which the institution is built thus was one of the most dedicated staff of the Bureau especially when it was in its creeping stage. She had served as an Acting Director of the Bureau between May 2007 and November 2008.
She holds a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Institute of Public Administration and Management (IPAM) plus a B.S. in Agric Science Education from the Njala University, diploma in Business Management and Administration from the College of Professional Management in the United Kingdom including other certificates in Computer Software Application Packages, National Vocational Qualification in Accounting (A.A.T) from the Association of Accounting, London and a Higher Teachers Certificate from the Milton Margai Teachers College (MMTC) between 1975 and 1978. From 2011 to date, Mrs. Kamara is the Deputy Chairperson of the MMCET Polytechnic Council.
She was the Administrative and Finance Officer for the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Awareness Raising Project between 1998 and 2000. She also served in many capacities such as Assistant and subsequently Accountant of the Sierra Produce Marketing Board (SLPMB) and Teacher of the Government Independence Memorial School and Muslim Brotherhood Secondary Schools respectively.
